Understanding the early patterns of arthritis using advanced intelligence for better life.

What integrated towards this problem?

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a main and serious public health problem that primarily affects the elderly people. The total health care expenditure of this ailment has been estimated to be $300 billion annually in the US. The incidence of OA in the United States reached a total of 54 million cases in 2017 and is expected to grow to 67 million cases by 2030. On the other hand, in India the growing rate of OA is expected to be 60 million cases by 2025. OA not only shortens the number of healthy years of life but also increases mortality and comorbidity like depression. Therefore, it is a very painful disease to both patients and society. However, there is no approved disease modifying treatment available to till date for OA.

Frequently asked quetions

The product that is to be developed here for funding will focus on the early detection of osteoarthritis (OA) in patients. By leveraging the concepts of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, computer vision, big data, cloud computing, medical intervention, clinical trials, angular script for UI/UX, and Kotlin for cross-platform mobile applications, we will be able to provide affordable, accurate, quick, and promising results. Also, this product will provide an early prediction report regarding the OA to patients for their healthy future. In this product, an AI-based model is applied to the MRI or radiology image for the detection and early prediction of OA in the body. The reports, in the form of dashboards, will be shared through the mail with the respective patients and doctors. Till now, there is no healthcare product that provides early diagnosis based on radiology images.
